Renault releases teaser photo of new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet

Teaser photos serve very little purpose other than to give the public an idea – however small it may be – of what the product is expected to look like. More often than not, these photos don’t show enough to warrant an imaginative speculation of the car. This time, however, Renault made sure that the teaser photo of their new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet gives us enough to make our imaginations running. The car, which is set to make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, looks every bit as similar to the aesthetic elements of past Meganes, including the model’s famous foldaway glass top.

While the car’s front end wasn’t shown in the photo, the rear left-side tail lights are clearly visible, allowing us to draw a somewhat clear idea on how the new CC version is going to look like. As far as technical specs are concerned, the Megane CC is expected to come with the same set of engine variants that can be found in the coupe and hatchback versions, among them the 1.6-litere 110 hp engine, the 2.0–liter 140 hp variant, and the turbocharged TCe 180 hp unit.

The Geneva Motor Show is still two months away so until then, we’d have to settle with this teaser photo of the new Megane CC. While it’s a lot better than other teaser photos we’ve seen in the past, we’d still prefer to see a real photo of the car, hopefully, sooner than later.
