Cadillac to reveal a mystery concept alongside the CTS-V Coupe in Detroit

cadillac to reveal a mystery concept alongside the cts-v coupe in detroit

The luxury arm of General Motors, Cadillac, has announced that they will unveil a new concept at the most import new car show of 2010, the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Last year Cadillac shocked the world with the nearly production ready Converj hybrid sports coupe, a concept that continued to dazzle judges throughout 2009, as well as with the CTS Coupe Concept one year earlier. Now we have already seen the production ready two door CTS in L.A. and the supercharged 2011 Cadillac CTS-V will be making its debut at the American automaker’s home show before going on sale next summer.

The new concept promises to be "the latest in its series of dynamic designs.” The unnamed concept advances Cadillac’s Art & Science philosophy that was behind previous notable show cars such as the Sixteen, CTS Coupe Concept and Converj. We don’t expect that the mystery vehicle will be powered by anything similar to the Cadillac Sixteen’s 1000 HP back to back LS1 configuration because GM would not want to overshadow their BMW M3 Challenger. Instead the unnamed vehicle could either be the rumored ATS or the full sized XTS that we have been waiting for. Either way expect for it to be full of extravagant high tech creature comforts and get around 35 MPG, at least it should, because no matter what wheelbase you are shopping for those are two items at the top of every new car buyer’s list.
